episode 65: academy faculty: andrea ranae and chahney hinds on changing the world by being yourself
I used to think I would have to change who I was to be ‘good’ and ‘better’ and ‘save the world.’ Anyone else get the ‘OMG your generation is going to save the world’ stuff? Maybe you’re still hearing it. I wonder if every single generation ever hears some version of that phrase. Or maybe it’s just since the climate crisis and systemic oppression got a bigger microphone that young people got handed that pressure by older generations (bigger fear?! Bigger hope?! Bigger projection?!)... anyways. I digress… kinda.
There’s some good news: Andrea and Chahney are here to talk to us about how being ourselves is where the magic happens and the world changes. I’m not talking some superficial CRAP like #authentic #snowflake!!!! I’m talking about the beautiful, sometimes hard, worthy work of becoming more YOU… and then co-creating the world of which we dream.
